Orthotics & Insoles
Orthotics and insoles are devices worn inside your shoes to help reduce pain, improve comfort, and support how your feet function during daily activities, work, and sport. They are typically recommended following a Biomechanical Foot and Ankle Assessment, where your podiatrist determines if orthotic therapy is the most appropriate treatment for you.

Types of Insoles
There are two main types of insoles that may be recommended:
- Custom Orthotics: Individually designed to match your foot shape, movement, and specific needs. These offer a highly tailored level of support.
- Prefabricated (Prescribed) Insoles: Ready-made devices selected and adapted by your podiatrist to suit your condition. These can be an effective and more cost-efficient option for many patients.
Your podiatrist will recommend the most suitable option based on your condition, lifestyle, and treatment goals.
